The following awards of ISSC 2027 have been established to recognize and promote excellence in various aspects of research and innovation within the fields of steel structures and industrialized construction technology:
Best Paper Award for Application
This award is given to papers that demonstrate practical applications of research findings. It highlights work that translates theoretical knowledge into real-world solutions, showing clear benefits and applicability in the field of steel structures and construction technology.
Best Paper Award for Industrialized Construction Technology
This award focuses on research that advances the field of industrialized construction technology. It acknowledges papers that offer significant improvements in construction processes, techniques, or technologies that enhance efficiency and effectiveness in industrialized construction.
Best Paper Award on Innovation
This award highlights papers that introduce groundbreaking ideas or novel methodologies. It is intended to promote the advancement of new technologies and approaches that push the boundaries of current knowledge and practice in steel structures and industrialized construction technology.
Best Paper Award on Sustainability
This award recognizes research that significantly contributes to sustainable practices and solutions in the industry. It aims to promote papers that address environmental impact, resource efficiency, and long-term sustainability in construction and structural engineering.
Best Student Paper Award
Only full-time PhD or Master's students are eligible to apply. This award is designed to encourage and acknowledge outstanding research contributions by students. It aims to support the development of future leaders in the field by recognizing their innovative ideas and high-quality research early in their careers.
Lifetime Achievement Award
The prestigious Steel and Construction Engineering Lifetime Achievement Award honours individuals who have significantly advanced the field throughout their careers. This recognition is awarded to those who have demonstrated outstanding achievements through research, commercialization, education, and/or dedicated service to the steel and construction engineering community. A committee comprising researchers, educators, and professionals in science and engineering will select the recipient.
Young Researcher (Rising Star) Award
This award celebrates the achievements of emerging researchers who have made significant contributions to the field and have recently received their PhD degrees. It aims to support and encourage young scholars who show exceptional promise and creativity in their research endeavors.
